School-Sponsored Publications

LOCAL

The District recognizes the value of, supports, and encourages official school publications in teaching journalism, English, writing, and other skills.  An official school publication is made up of materials produced by students in a regularly scheduled class and intended for distribution to the student body.

All publications released under the name of the District or any individual campus, whether in print or electronic form, shall be overseen by the campus and District administration and the Board. School-sponsored publications, approved by a principal and created by students at any campus, are integral to the instructional program and shall be supervised by a faculty sponsor.
