Visitors

  • Visitor Procedures: The Superintendent is tasked with creating procedures for managing visitors who are not school personnel or students. These procedures must utilize all available legal means to ensure the safety of students, staff, and district property.

  • Weapons Prohibition: Only peace officers or individuals with specific authorization from the school administration may carry or possess weapons on school grounds.

  • Health and Safety Restrictions: Visits, tours, or classroom observations will not be allowed if they are considered a threat to the health and safety of students or staff.

  • Parent and Prospective Parent Visits:

    • The Superintendent must establish clear procedures to allow parents of enrolled students, as well as prospective parents, to visit, tour, or observe classrooms.
    • The policies regarding parent visits must be easily accessible on the home page of each school’s website.
  • Masks and Face Coverings: Masks or face coverings are not required on district premises except in cases where long-standing safety measures unrelated to COVID-19 necessitate their use.
