SCHOOL DAY
The standard school day for student instruction in this District shall comply with the requirements set forth by Arizona Revised Statutes.
The Governing Board may temporarily alter the regular school schedule upon the recommendation of the Superintendent when such changes are deemed to be in the best interest of the District.
The Superintendent has the authority to close schools, delay openings, or dismiss schools early in response to emergency situations that affect the health and safety of students and staff. In such cases, the Superintendent shall develop procedures for notifying all concerned parties in a timely manner and shall inform the Board President as soon as possible.
Additionally, the Superintendent shall establish guidelines that allow for students to enter or leave school under special circumstances, ensuring flexibility in the regular schedule to accommodate issues such as inclement weather, family illness, and other exceptional situations.
