BUS10.5 - Building and Grounds Maintenance
Section B - Business
Objective:
The district is committed to maintaining its buildings, grounds, and property to ensure a safe and efficient learning environment for students and staff. The district will implement a continuous inspection and maintenance program focused on preventing issues and preserving indoor air quality.

Preventive Maintenance:
The district will prioritize preventive maintenance, including regular inspections and repairs, to ensure facilities are safe and functional. Preventive maintenance schedules will be developed based on manufacturer recommendations and district needs. -
Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Management:
A district-wide Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Management Plan will be implemented to minimize indoor air pollution. The Superintendent will appoint a District IAQ Coordinator to oversee inspection, maintenance, and repair schedules for HVAC systems, buildings, and materials. -
Routine Maintenance:
Maintenance of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and roofing systems will be conducted on a regular schedule. Roofing inspections must be completed prior to any repairs or replacements and will be carried out by certified professionals.
